When this palette appears, the webpage is locked down to allow changes to the page. Clicking the Arrow Head icon allows one to interact with the webpage. You may want to scroll or click a button that is on the page. With the first puzzle, you may need to adjust the puzzle so that it fits in the window. Clicking any other icon will turn off cursor control.
Clicking the Color rectangle which is currently black allows one to change the color of any additions you make to the page.. You can click on a color inside a box and then click the OK button.
Changing the Transparency allows one to see what is underneath changes made to the web page. It's suggested to change this percentage to 50% or less. By using this percentage, it allows the letters underneath straight lines to be seen.
The Size control allows one to change the width of straight lines drawn on the web page. It's suggested to change the percentage to 60%. It can be changed at any time. You can draw lines to determine the best setting for your web browser.
Clicking the icon under the J in the diagram, allows one to draw straight lines on the page. This makes playing the puzzles much easier and neat looking. Click on the first or last letter of the word you have found and drag the cursor to the other end of the word and release. A straight line is drawn over those letters. If you have set the transparency to 50% or below, you will still be able to see the letters underneath the line. A good tip is to also draw a line through the word in the list at the left of the puzzle to keep with the words that have already been located.
Clicking to the left of the H icon in the diagram, erases all changes to the page.
Clicking the icon above the F on the diagram will hide the tool palette on the puzzle you are playing. To have the palette return, click on the Extension icon at the top, right-hand corner of the browser window.
This icon is supposed to take a snapshot of the page you're working and allow you to crop it down to just the puzzle. I have not been able to get it to work properly. One can use the tool bar at the top of the puzzle (shown below) to print or save the puzzle. Click on the double arrows point to the right and a menu list will drop down..
Clicking the icon above the G in the diagram will close the extension.
Clicking under the I icon in the diagram, allows one to move back and forth through the puzzle if a mistake is made .
